Summer on the Legislative’s Grounds

Regina is known for its merciless winters, bleak grey skies and white snow covered ground for about 5 months of the year. However when summer arrives the city blooms in all its glory and there is no better place to see that than on the grounds of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building. The building is surrounded by numerous ever-green trees and lawns of lush green grass but the garden facing the Wascana Lake is the center piece of its landscape. Plants and flowers of all sorts create a kaleidoscope of colours that not only attract the buzzing bees and butterflies but the also the cameras of tourists and photographers alike.
